About Jennifer Marcus

As Vice President of Strategic Innovation Programs at Taylor Geospatial, Jennifer Marcus oversees our innovation portfolio to drive the geospatial industry forward in foundational GeoAI research and to ensure it is turned into digital public goods. She establishes partnerships with satellite operators, cloud providers, and research labs to simplify data access, reduce deployment friction, and create novel pathways from discovery to impact.

She has spent her career at the forefront of geospatial technology—supporting government and commercial customers at Esri, driving R&D investments for a global corporation in support of US Defense and Intelligence communities, and helping build a U.S. Federal practice at Planet Labs. This breadth of experience gives her a clear understanding of what it takes to move ideas from research to real-world deployment.

Jen doesn’t just understand what it takes to unlock GeoAI breakthroughs, she’s already been making them happen. For example, she spearheaded Fields of The World, our multi-institutional effort to map the world’s agricultural field boundaries as proof that AI and machine learning can be applied to satellite imagery to produce digital public goods at global scale.

If you’re working to move geospatial innovation from research to real-world deployment, or building programs that connect academia and industry, Jen wants to hear from you. Reach out to share what you’re working on, and let’s explore how Taylor Geospatial can help create pathways from discovery to impact.

If you’re interested in co-developing or co-investing in our focused research portfolio, or want to discuss potential applications of Taylor Geospatial’s products for your organization’s own work, reach out to Jennifer.
