About Henning Lohse-Busch

As Operations Lead at Taylor Geospatial, Henning Lohse-Busch keeps our complex, multi-stakeholder work moving – bringing the infrastructure, processes, and discipline it takes to position the organization to co-develop and co-invest with leading GeoAI contributors at the frontier of what’s possible.

Henning brings a remarkable combination of technical depth and operational leadership to the role. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and spent more than a decade at Argonne National Laboratory – one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s premier research institutions – where he managed the Vehicle Systems Research Section and the Advanced Powertrain Research Facility. His work there focused on automotive energy efficiency, advanced powertrain technology, and the development of codes and standards for next-generation vehicles.

Prior to his current position, Henning was Director of Business Development and Outreach at the Geospatial Institute at Saint Louis University – now the Geospatial Center at SLU. Its success led to the creation of the Taylor Geospatial Institute (TGI), which became part of Taylor Geospatial in 2026. As TGI’s Chief of Staff, Henning forged relationships and established processes foundational to our current success and critical to accelerating the growth of the region’s geospatial ecosystem.

Top-tier research requires a robust foundation. Henning plays a pivotal role in keeping our organization operating seamlessly.
